Today 17 March 2025 marked our 3rd AA ECLEA conference took us all the way to Kitengela in Kjiado County at Abundant Grace Church; which is an hour's drive South East of Nairobi. The team was a small group of about 15 pastors drawn from different parts of Kajiado the land of the famous Maasai.
These were the key highlights of the conference:
> Disobedience makes one get lost, suffer loss, and be punished.
> We serve a God of mercy.
> Man naturally is a complainer. Complaining will not change God's plan of what He has called you to accomplish. even if you refuse by force like Jonah.
> The theme of forgiveness, justice, and compassion is very profound in the book of Jonah.
A heated discussion was witnessed when I asked, "If you were the wife of Jonah (though we don't know if he was married), would you believe that the big fish swallowed him for three days?” The answer was no. Some said the fish was another woman!
A very sobering testimony was shared by one delegate as we discussed the question - How have you "run from God" and how did God pursue you? A lady pastor shared a moving scenario. She literally ran away from God severally. She had confirmed to her fiance who was a pastor that she did not want anything to do with ministry after wedding because she had seen her own relative suffer seriously in the name of ministry.
After getting married she ran away to run a salon. She stocked it nicely only for everything to be stolen! She tried after a while to start all over again and when her business was picking up, she got into a terrible accident. The husband who was driving the family car got a broken right hand, and her child broke a hip bone but she was unscathed save for a small scratch on her hand.
As much as she would want to go to do business she was now tied to nursing her family. Gradually she started preaching on behalf of her husband in church. She was accepted and gained favor and that is how she answered God's call. Today, she is a vibrant preacher. This book of Jonah answered her questions that she had hitherto been struggling to comprehend.
We appreciate ECLEA and its supporters for these kinds of impactful teachings.

I am reporting my first conference this year, which has been very successful and very encouraging. This wonderful conference was on 6-8 February. We engaged ourselves on the book of JAMES. A practical book to a Christian living.
Something to note about is that participation and organisation has not been an issue these days. ECLEA has already been embraced by many church leaders. I am hoping that this opportunity and platform of enabling us to interact with different church leaders will continue.

Best regards, Fredrick Njoroge

The year 2025 seems like pastors and church leaders are very hungry for true biblical knowledge if our training between 24 & 26 January is anything to go by. We had almost 30 delegates and the language was the same at El-Shaddai Church venue - that, "this is what we need."
The course Biblical Stewardship was well received with the following key highlights:
a) Deeper and clearer understanding of the term stewardship as a manager and not an owner of God's resources.
b) That the stewardship of the environment should be a key concern for any leader. If we misuse or mismanage the environment, it can be counterproductive to us.
c) Our relationships with different people affect how we relate with God. A significant amount of time was spent looking at healthy relationships with the opposite gender.
d) The area of time and money seemed to be the most problematic areas. Most agreed that these two areas require much effort to make meaningful changes.
We appreciate the visionary Jonathan Menn and the entire ECLEA supporters for such timely training in East Africa. The church is being equipped and rooted more deeply for greater impact.
Attached are a few photos taken during one of the sessions conducted under heavy rainfall hence the use of the PA system to raise the voice above the noise produced when rain pounded the iron sheet roofed church venue.

Thank you,
Rev. David Njeru, Coordinator, ECLEA - Nairobi Region

I thank God for his grace and love this far. Here is my recent AA conferences reports:
1.On 16th-18 January I traveled to Voi where we had a very productive biblical stewardship conference with 16 participants most of them were pastors .the participants were so much great full for having such teachings they have never heard , most of them confessed that they thought stewardship of the body was only to be addressed by doctors however they found it much more applicable in the church circles too, they agreed that this is one of the teachings the church needs most since it covers all the areas of life.
2. On 6-8th February, changed due to logistics as was previously set for 23rd-26th Jan. We did a biblical marriage and parenting at Rock fellowship with 14 participants, only 2 were ladies, cultural the teachings on family planning was something new to the participants since the trained was deep in the village where such matters are avoided, however the participants were happy to have such material. They promised to study more on the subject and whatever challenges they would face, they will always reach us for more help. Finally, one of the pastors asked if it is possible we arrange for both pastors and key church leaders both male and female do that these teachings are taught in such forum.
We finally agreed that we will do on conference on April at the same venue.

In January, I conducted the AA Conference, where I taught participants about the principles in the book of Biblical Stewardship. Inspired by the teachings, the participants decided to plant trees at their homes, as shown in the attached pictures. ECLEA courses are making a positive impact on our churches and the environment.
Best regards, Bishop Barnabas

Sincerely speaking, ECLEA has brought me from far and our dear colleagues in the ministry of Christ Alive Vision Center ministries Kenya.
This year January I had a ECLEA training in the place called Sirisia. It was the new center we taught 1 Timothy and the response was good. We managed to have 15 pastors and 5 leaders of the churches. From them 5 pastors have joined Bible college to proceed with diploma.
The second training conference took place at Kimilili where we have been there last year for 1 Timothy. This year we taught them Biblical Sterwardship. Paticipation was good, 20 pastors and one Bishop attended the conference. They really appreciate our books being the best and well arranged in order. They will be able to budget for their churches and there family. So to me and the ministry, we have learned a lot from this book of Stewardship. Many ministries have collapsed, but by the grace of God we are alive and effective. I have been now recognized by the Bungoma Bishops Council (BBC). I am the elders recognized teaching the true gospel without any case.
Yours, Bishop Justus Wafula regional coordinator western Kenya
